Significant challenges remain in securing and maintaining a stable and sustainable leadership and staffing structure capable of delivering consistently high-quality education. The substantive Headteacher is no longer in post. The school is currently led by an Acting Head of School, supported by an experienced Executive Headteacher from a neighbouring school.
The school has experienced significant staff turnover and has faced ongoing recruitment challenges for several years. In addition, the school has received extensive support from the council including school improvement services and the Department for Education’s Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence Team (RISE team), alongside support from the Diocese of Chester and the Executive Headteacher. Despite this support, concerns regarding educational standards, sustainability and long-term viability remain.
