Wirral Council maintains about 160km (100 miles) of public footpaths bridleways and byways, plus other ‘permissive’ paths and off road cycle tracks.

- Four Walk Wirral guides are available to download or from all the five main libraries (but no longer at the Hamilton Building). The leaflets show public rights of way, cycle routes and other information to enable you to plan a walk.
