If you would prefer to obtain formal approval of your proposals, you may submit a Full Plans application. Decisions can take up to five weeks but are usually made much sooner.
Non-domestic work must take the Full Plans route. This is so we can consult the Fire Service to ensure that it meets fire prevention regulations.
Considerations
Full Plans applications should include full detailed drawings and specifications for the works, together with structural calculations if applicable.
We check the submitted plans very carefully against the standards required by the Building Regulations. This means we can attempt to find all the problems at a time when they can most easily be corrected, guarding against problems later when they may be far more difficult to put right.
