Hire space for meetings, classes, exhibitions and events in your local library
Room Hire
Most of our libraries have spaces to hire for meetings, groups, exhibitions and so on.
If you are interested in hiring a space in one of Wirral’s libraries please email us at: libraries@wirral.gov.uk stating which library you would like to use, number of attendees, date and time required. We will get back to you with availability and to arrange a visit if required.
Current charges 2026-2027 (these change every April) for room hire are:
- £14 per hour for community groups
- £21 - £27.50 per hour for commercial use depending on the size of the room or event
Connect and Inspire Pod at Birkenhead Central Library
Hire our dedicated sound-proof POD in the Connect and Inspire Suite at Birkenhead Central Library - equipped with fast and improved Wi-Fi connection, an interactive screen and bank of laptops.
Learning Hub at Birkenhead Central Library
Hire our newly refurbished Hub for events, workshops, conferences, meetings and more.
Exhibition Space
We provide space and exhibition boards to individuals, schools and community groups to display anything from photography, art work, school projects, ceramics and more. This is normally free of charge. Please email to discuss: libraries@wirral.gov.uk
Commission
Should you be selling tickets to an event or items exhibited (that is, books, paintings, photographs, crafts) the following commission charges apply:
- Commission on Exhibition sales - 35% of cost
- Commission on Ticket sales - 35% of cost
