Connect and Inspire Hub at Birkenhead Central Library

Our digital hub provides the community with space to work, train and collaborate. 

Individuals and organisations have access to upgraded technology, high-speed connectivity, and dedicated spaces for work, training, or studying in our newly refurbished and upgraded computer suite at Birkenhead Central Library. Supported using public funding by DCMS (Departments for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) and Arts Council England.

Community groups, local businesses, or individual trainers and tutors can hire the fully equipped soundproofed pod and the larger Learning Hub by the hour. Laptops are also available to hire as part of a booking.

Other spaces within the hub allow individuals to work using their personal laptops or devices, connecting to the hub’s new, free, high-speed Wi-Fi network and using the dedicated free charging points.

The library also provides self-service stations, with the functionality to pay contactless for a range of library and digital services including printing.
