Who can get adult social care support
There are rules set by the government to help us decide who can get care.
You may be able to get help if:
- you have an illness or disability (this includes mental health); and
- this makes life harder and affects your wellbeing; and
- you find it hard to do two or more of the daily activities listed below
Daily activities:
- eating and drinking
- keeping clean
- using the toilet
- getting dressed
- using your home safely
- keeping your home clean and safe
- keeping in touch with family or friends
- working, learning or volunteering
- using local shops or services
- looking after a child
How to find out if you are eligible
To see if you can get support, you will need to carry out a needs assessment.
