Report a missed bin collection

If your wheelie bin was presented correctly at the time of collection, but has been missed, you can report it to us after 5pm of the scheduled collection day.

A missed collection must be reported within three working days of the scheduled collection.  Missed bins not reported within three working days will not be picked up until the next scheduled collection day.

Biffa will review the CCTV footage from the vehicle and other collection information, to check if there is a valid reason your bin wasn’t emptied, for example, your bin wasn’t presented at the time of collection, the bin was contaminated, or the bin was too heavy. If there is a valid reason your bin was not emptied, then you will be informed and Biffa will not return.

If it is too late to report your missed bin, you can also take your waste to a rubbish tip or book an ERIC collection.

Check your bin collection day

Help the bin crews to complete their collections

To ensure your bin is collected please follow the guidelines for putting out your bin.

Please help the crews to complete their collections by:

  • putting your rubbish correctly at the kerbside with wheelie bin wheels facing the road
  • making sure the bin lid is down
  • making sure there is no waste outside of the bin
  • parking considerately so the vehicles can access the road
