If you have paid by credit card or debit card, you have a right to cancel this service and obtain a full refund within 10 working days of the date you subscribed. If you have received a collection within this period, a refund will not apply.

Direct Debit instructions have a 10 working day cooling off period before payment is taken. During this time the direct debit can be cancelled online by logging in to your MyWirral account. You can also cancel directly with your bank. Once payment is taken, a refund will not apply.

All garden waste must be contained within the brown bin with the lid closed. We will not empty bins that are too heavy, if waste is compacted, contaminated (including soil) or bagged.

If your brown bin is presented correctly on the day of collection and is missed, you must report this to the council within 3 working days following the scheduled collection day.

If you move house you will be need to purchase a new subscription for your new address, unless a subscription for the new address already exists. You cannot transfer existing subscriptions to a new address and no refund will be issued.

If the new property has no bin and you purchased the bin at your current property, you can take your bin with you.

If you pay for your subscription via Direct Debit, you will need to cancel the direct debit instruction before the next payment is taken. You will then need to set it up again at your new address when the new subscription opens.

You are responsible for any loss or damage to your bin other than through the negligence of the council’s waste collection contractor.

The council is not obliged to provide this service where collection is prevented due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as severe weather.

This agreement ensures that your garden waste is being collected lawfully under Section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.

The council reserves the right to audit bins (such as contents analysis) at any time to ensure proper use.

To agree to these Terms and Conditions, you need to return to your MyWirral account and tick the box under the 'Terms and Conditions' heading on the form while you are subscribing to the garden waste collection service.
