Wellington Road conservation area
Wellington Road is on the north-west facing shore of New Brighton which is located on the north-eastern corner of Wirral. It’s almost entirely residential, with the exception of the lifeboat station and a small number of buildings associated with recreational uses found within King’s Parade Gardens and Marine Park. It contains a significant group of early 19th century listed villas with terraced gardens which have an open coastal aspect, overlooking Liverpool Bay. It’s characterised by its varied mix of architectural influences – mainly Classical and Gothic.
