Businesses and community groups can apply for an on-street parking bay for visitors who are Blue Badge holders. There is currently no charge for this service.
Who can apply?
Business and community groups can apply:
- if there is a demand for Blue Badge parking from the business or group
- where nearby parking would not be impacted by the bay being occupied
- where there is no other means of off-street parking or space within the property boundary
Apply for a disabled parking bay
Each request will be dealt with individually. The requested location should not have any existing off-street parking for staff, volunteers and visitors. It is the responsibility of the business or community group to provide adequate on-site parking wherever possible for Blue Badge holders.
These parking bays are advisory only, which means that it is not possible for the council to enforce who may or may not use this bay.
