Blue Badge holders can apply for a parking bay to park outside their home. There is currently no charge for this service.
Who can apply?
- you must hold a Blue Badge
- you must have a vehicle registered at the address, and the designated driver must also live at the address
- there should not be space within the property boundary to provide off-street parking for the applicant or an existing alternative means of off-street parking (such as a garage or driveway)
- there must be a suitable location to provide an on-street parking bay ideally located outside of the applicants home
Apply for a parking bay if you are disabled
We’re currently experiencing delays in processing on-street disabled parking bay requests due to a high number of applications and limited resources.
We’re working hard to reduce the backlog and are prioritising applications submitted over six months ago. Once approved, we’ll arrange for the bay to be marked on the road as soon as possible.
