Most COVID-19 legal restrictions were lifted on 19 July 2021. For the time being, there will be no change to the way libraries in Wirral operate, helping reduce risk for people who are not vaccinated. There is also the risk of disruption to the library service if lots of staff have to self-isolate. Please follow infection control measures and continue to wear face coverings in public areas.
Overdue items will continue to be automatically renewed (no fines) until all libraries are open. At this point fines will be reintroduced for adult loans. Fines for children’s items have been removed and will not be reintroduced. To improve selection, it would be appreciated if any items that are finished with are returned to any open library before the reintroduction of fines commences.

Wirral Archives is closed to visitors until further notice in line with health guidelines associated with the Covid-19 virus.
