Access help and advice in your library via computers and Work Clubs

Use our Computers and Wi-Fi to search for jobs.

Carry out your job search on any of our public computers or on your mobile device via our free Wi-Fi in all libraries

Job seekers are exempt from computer use charges when job searching, provided that their proof of status is given. However, printouts must be paid for. Customers on a means tested benefit or a state pension applying for a DWP benefit are eligible for a free print of the original document supporting the application. Photocopying is not free.

Free access to computers for job seekers is also available to those wishing to complete any benefit claim. Benefits assistance isn't available in libraries.

Software including Microsoft Office Word and Excel is available.

Access Find a job - GOV.UK on any public computer, on your device via our free Wi-Fi or from home. Find full or part-time jobs in England, Scotland and Wales. This service has replaced Universal Jobmatch.

Help finding work on the council website

Room Hire

Many organisations hire rooms in our libraries to hold one-to-one and small group sessions with clients or use our spaces to offer drop-in help. This includes advice on benefits and CV writing. Follow our socials for up-to-date news.
