Wirral Libraries is proud to support the National Year of Reading 2026, and over the year we will have an inspiring programme of activities, events and book recommendations for all ages.
Reading expands worlds, sharpens minds and fuels creativity, yet many of us struggle to make time for it. Whatever you’re into, Wirral Libraries is the perfect place to 'Go All In'. From gaming and gardening to history and architecture, there’s something for everyone.

We'll be launching some special new initiatives, hosting events and really focusing on books and reading.
We’d love you to join the library if you haven’t already, and encourage family and friends to join. It’s free, and you can join in person at any Wirral Library or join the library online.

Once you have joined the library you can borrow books free of charge at any Wirral library or use our e-library service, BorrowBox, to access thousands of free eBooks, eAudiobooks, eNewspapers and eMagazines via the app or the Borrowbox website.
