4 July to 5 September 2026
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge with Wirral Libraries is chock full of surprises (and prizes)!
The main challenge is open to children aged 4-11 and upon completion, as well as receiving your medal and certificate, you could be in with the chance of winning one of 5 Chromebooks, a family ticket to this year’s Panto at the Floral Pavilion or a 3 month Family Invigor8 Membership courtesy of Active Leisure Wirral!
Younger siblings (0-3 year old) can also take part in the Mini Challenge but will not be entered into the prize draw.
As always, once you have signed up, the aim of the game is to read at least 6 books over three visits over the Summer. These can be story books, graphic novels or fact books. You can also read or listen to e-books or audiobooks via our Borrowbox app – just let us know at the counter.
Each time you visit you will receive your usual stickers to put on your activity sheet PLUS a little surprise. You can also access lots of digital rewards via the QR codes on the main challenge stickers.
This year you are also competing on behalf of your school. Two schools, one with the most joiners and one with the most completers, will each win a Summer Reading Challenge trophy!
So sign up from Super Saturday 4th July to be in with a chance to win great prizes and read LOTS of new books!
