Strategic Hub

The Strategic Hub works out what our residents and communities need and determines what we’re trying to achieve as council. It makes sure the Wirral Plan and the 2020 pledges are delivered and our targets are met.

The hub will be centred around the three wheels of the Wirral Plan:

  • People (adults, children and young people, wellbeing)
  • Business Growth (including housing and tourism)
  • Environment

The hub also includes the council’s intelligence, strategy and communications functions.

The Executive Director for Strategy is Clare Fish.

Business Services

Business Services makes sure the council and its services run properly and efficiently.

Business Services will lead the development and delivery of commercially and performance-focused business services for the council.

This function includes:

Children's Services

Children’s Services will report directly to the Chief Executive on an interim basis while work to address Ofsted improvements is undertaken.

This will allow a clearer focus on improving and delivering safeguarding, early prevention and children’s social care services for the immediate future.

Transformation office

A transformation office, reporting to a new post of Transformation Director has been set up to support the council’s Transformation programme. The office will provide project and programme management and business analyst and design services.
