Assessment for grammar school education in September 2019
Registration for year 6 assessment to attend a non-Catholic grammar school in Wirral will open on 1 May 2018. Online applications are now closed and you will need to complete a paper registration form.
A booklet has been produced to explain the Wirral assessment tests (known as 11 Plus).
If your child is due to move up to Foundation 2 in a primary school or Year 7 in a secondary school in September 2018, and you are a Wirral resident, the online application process is now closed.
You will not be able to apply online after the closing date and will need to use a paper form. Forms received after the closing date will be treated as late applications. Further details can be found in the information booklets for parents.

Secondary school information for parents
If your child is taking a selective test for entry to grammar school, please do not submit your application until after you have received the outcome of the tests, which will be sent to you by 21st October 2017.

Apply for a transfer to a Wirral primary or secondary school
Admission to Wirral schools is co-ordinated by the council. Schools cannot offer places directly. Parents are advised to discuss the reason for requesting a transfer with their current school prior to making an application.
