If your child is due to move up to Foundation 2 in a primary school or Year 7 in a secondary school in September 2018, and you are a Wirral resident, you will be able to apply online here from 1 September 2017.
You will not be able to apply online after the closing date and would need to use a paper form. Forms received after the closing date will be treated as late applications. Further details can be found in the information booklets for parents.

Secondary school information for parents
If your child is taking a selective test for entry to grammar school, please do not submit your application until after you have received the outcome of the tests, which will be sent to you by 21st October 2017.
The closing date for applications for secondary school places in September 2018 is 31 October 2017.

Apply for a transfer to a Wirral primary or secondary school
Admission to Wirral schools is co-ordinated by the council. Schools cannot offer places directly. Parents are advised to discuss the reason for requesting a transfer with their current school prior to making an application.
To apply for a transfer between schools or from outside Wirral, complete one of the forms below and return to the postal address provided or email to [email protected].

Assessment for grammar school education in September 2018
Registration for year 6 assessment to attend a non-Catholic grammar school in Wirral closed on 31 May 2017. You can make a late application using the form below.

If your child is not sitting the test in their own primary school we will require proof of ID for your child before they can be assessed. You must complete the ID form below and attach a passport-style photograph which will need to be verified by your child’s school.
Your child must bring this form with them on the test date and may not be able to sit the test without it.
