Following further consultation on housing needs and land supply, the Council is undertaking a wider review of development options before deciding on the final sites to be included for development in the Core Strategy Local Plan.

The background to the review is set out in the report to Cabinet on 27 February 2017 (Minute 96 refers)

The Council's Cabinet on 23 July 2018 considered a further report which sets out the results of the review of development options.

Cabinet agreed the recommendation that the sites shown in Appendices 1-6 of the report are published for public consultation, for 6 weeks, alongside the more detailed findings of the review in September 2018, to avoid the summer holidays, before being included in the Initial Draft Local Plan to be reported to Cabinet in December 2018.

If you would like to submit any initial comments on the Cabinet Report before formal consultation starts in September, you can find further information and details on how to do this on the get involved webpage.

The detailed documents that will form part of this review will be published on these pages when they become available for public comment in September 2018.

You can be notified when they become available by providing your contact details to localplan@wirral.gov.uk
