A new Local Plan has been prepared to shape the future of the borough over the next 15 years.
Notice of Adoption
Wirral Council, at its meeting on 31st March 2025, resolved to formally adopt the Wirral Local Plan 2022 to 2040.
The Local Plan now forms part of the statutory development plan, alongside the Joint Waste Local Plan for Merseyside and Halton and the Neighbourhood Development Plans for Devonshire Park and for Hoylake.
The relevant documents, which will be made available for public inspection, free of charge in Wirral's public libraries can be viewed below:
