Residential care for Children

Wirral Council has one residential care home for children called Willowtree.

Willowtree is a short break home for young people with complex physical and learning disabilities aged between 8 and 18years old. It has recently been refurbished and is divided into 3 separate areas which each support up to 3 young people at any time.

Short breaks are provided for young people following assessment by a Social Worker and agreement by a panel of professionals. At this panel a decision will be made as to the level of overnight stays required per annum for individual young people.

Following recent OFSTED inspections the home has been judged as “GOOD” with some outstanding features.

When you stay at Willowtree we will try to make sure it is with friends and you will have a good time. You can find out about other Short Break services for children with disabilities from this website.
