Prosecutions and Enforcement Notices Register
Under the Environment & Safety Information Act 1988, Wirral Council is required to maintain a public register of all health & safety enforcement notices which where served for issues relating to persons other than just employees.
Such notices are kept on the register for three years after being served even though remedial action may have already taken place and dealt with the problem.
The Health and Safety Executive maintains a public database of details of all convictions in the UK, on or after 1st April 1999, which were a result of breaches of health and safety legislation and details of all enforcement notices issued since 1 April 2001 – excluding those under appeal or withdrawn.
Details of notices generally remain on the system for 5 years.
