Animal Welfare Fees

The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 - Fees from 1 April 2023

A fee is required for each separate activity undertaken (Table One) and for larger businesses (indicated with a star) an additional fee may be required (Table Two). 

The fee for renewal inspections is the same as for first inspections.

Examples:

  • 75 kennel enclosures and 40 cat enclosures would be £429 + £55 for the kennels and £406 for the cattery
  • 9 breeding bitches would be £417 + £110 (£55 per extra 3 breeding bitches x 2)
