Wirral Libraries and The Reading Agency are delighted to present the 2019 Summer Reading Challenge: Space Chase - celebrating the 50th anniversary of the moon landings.

On your challenge you will meet the Rockets! A super cool family who live on a satellite station in space. They love to spend time at their local library on the moon, but they need your help! Books are disappearing from the Moon Library with no explanation. Who could be behind such a dastardly deed….?

The Rockets

The Summer Reading Challenge takes place every summer holiday. You can sign up at your local library from Saturday 13 July (ends 31 August), then read at least six library books of your choice over 4 visits (minimum 2 books per visit) to collect special stickers and other incentives along the way – all free.

All participants will receive a certificate and for those that complete the challenge a medal and certificate will be awarded.

For further information please visit the Summer Reading Challenge website or visit your local library.

We also have a packed calendar of events throughout the holiday, such as rocket-making, Chester Zoo sessions, crafts and stories and inclusive storytelling sessions with Mama G. Please visit your local library or visit 'What's On' in Wirral Libraries
