Get Creative Festival (getcreativeuk.com) shines a light on all the great cultural activity that takes place right across the UK on a regular basis and encourages people to try their hand at something new and creative. This huge national celebration of creativity aims to give everyone the chance to get actively involved in a creative event in their local area.

From Saturday 11th – Sunday 19th May 2019 hundreds of organisations and community groups will be putting on events to help you get creative.

We at Wirral Libraries hope you enjoy this festival of creativity and thank the many groups and individuals who have offered their time and expertise.

The programme sees a number of special one off events such as an acrylic painting taster session at Bebington Library or adult creative writing at Wallasey Central Library. In addition a large number of regular sessions held in libraries are offering taster sessions for free (for small donations) during the festival. Please see the Get Creative 2019 leaflet for more details.

Most events are “no need to book” however a small number must be booked in advance via eventbrite. (Art taster session at Bebington Library/creative writing at Wallasey Central) or in person (children’s lino printing at Bebington Library).

Get Creative Festival is brought to you by arts and creative organisations and individuals across the UK and is supported by 64 Million Artists, Arts Council England, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Arts Council of Wales, the BBC, Crafts Council, Creative People and Places, Creative Scotland, Family Arts Campaign, Voluntary Arts, and What Next?
