How was a decision about the changes made?
The council carried out a consultation in May to July 2025. This allowed people to have their say on the proposals.
The findings of the consultation were considered at the Tourism, Communities, Culture and Leisure Committee in September 2025.
The recommendations to move to eight library sites was not accepted. Councillors voted to refer the item to the council's Policy and Resources Committee for further consideration.
