Wirral Libraries offer an Order and Collect service, available from: Bebington Central Library Birkenhead Central Library Wallasey Central Library West Kirby Library You can order up to 8 paperbacks, hardback and talking books at a time and collect them from one of the four libraries. You will need to be a library member to place an order with this service, but you can become a member at any time by signing up here to join the library. How to order Using the form below, input your library membership number and details. And the either select: Lucky dip. Lucky dip books will be chosen at random for you by a member of the library team, or; Tell us your preferences. Fill in details about what books you enjoy (genres, previous titles that you have read or authors you enjoy) and a librarian will choose a selection of books that they think you might enjoy. We cannot guarantee a particular title. Selection will be made from the stock at the collection site. Search the library catalogue Select when and where is best for you to collect the books from.. Once completed, the system will generate a reference number for you and you'll be contacted by the method you chose, when your books are ready for collection. Staff will not be able to provide you with a bag at this time. It is highly encouraged that you wear a face covering in public buildings, including libraries. When collecting items from the library, separate entrances and exits will be marked, with a one-way system around the building and hand sanitising stations available. You should follow the safety measures in place and the signs around the building to help protect yourself, staff, and other visitors to the library. Books will be handled in line with government guidance and will not be redistributed for 72 hours. No toilet facilities will currently be available to the public, except in emergencies. How do I return books or items? You can return books during opening hours to: Bebington Central Library Birkenhead Central Library Bromborough Library Eastham Library Greasby Library Rock Ferry Library Wallasey Central Library West Kirby Library Any items or books currently on loan from libraries will continue to be automatically renewed if you can’t get to us or would like to hold onto them for a little longer. Are other services available? Birkenhead Central, Bebington Central, Wallasey Central and West Kirby libraries will also be open for browsing as well as offering the Order and Collect service. Eastham, Rock Ferry, Greasby and Bromborough will also be open for browsing only. You will not need to book ahead to visit a library for browsing. The number of people allowed into the building will be limited and you may need to queue if it is busy. To help us with this, please keep your visit short. All children under eight must be accompanied by an adult. You will not be able to use One Stop Shop services at any Wirral libraries.
