Proposed changes to library services
Wirral Council is proposing changes to its library services across the borough. We want to know what you think about the proposals.
Bookstart
Bookstart encourages parents and carers to start reading books with their children as early as possible.
Bookstart Bear Club
For 0-5 year olds.
Join the Bookstart Bear Club at any Wirral Library and earn stamps in your Bear Club passport. There are ten special certificates to collect.
Bookstart gift packs
For 0-4 year olds.
Children can pick up a free pack of books and guidance materials for parents and carers from any Wirral library:
- Bookstart Baby bags - for babies aged 0-12 months
Packs are available for children with additional needs:
- Bookshine packs - for children who are deaf
- Booktouch packs - for children who are blind or partially sighted
- Bookstart Star packs - for children with disabilities affecting fine motor skills
- Dual language books
