Bookstart encourages parents and carers to start reading books with their children as early as possible.
You can pick up a free pack of books and guidance materials for parents and carers from any Wirral library:
Bookstart Gift Packs
For 0 to 4 year olds.
Bookstart Baby Bags
for babies aged 0 to 12 months.
Bookstart Bear Club
For 0 to 5 year olds.
Join the Bookstart Bear Club at any Wirral Library and earn stamps in your Bear Club passport. There are ten special certificates to collect.
Packs are also available for children with additional needs:
- Bookshine packs - for children who are deaf
- Booktouch packs - for children who are blind or partially sighted
- Bookstart Star packs - for children with disabilities affecting fine motor skills
- Dual language books
