Angling and coarse fishing in Wirral

There are a number of public coarse fishing waters in Wirral.

An ‘Environment Agency Rod Licence’ will be required to fish the venues listed below and can be purchased online on the Environment Agency website or at a Post Office.

Wirral Community Anglers work in partnership with Wirral Parks and Countryside team to manage and maintain the fisheries at Central Park, The Captain's Pit and Birkenhead Park.

Any money from membership permits, donations and fund raising is used to ensure the future of the lakes.
