At our all staff ‘We are Wirral’ events, we heard about the pride people feel for their colleagues and how ‘people bring their heart and souls to the job and go above and beyond’. Colleagues also told us that feeling valued, appreciated and taking time to celebrate achievements are a key part of what makes a great day at work.
Making sure our people are recognised and thanked for the valuable work they do to be the difference for our residents is an important part of how we do things at Wirral. One way we celebrate the amazing people who make Wirral a great place to work is through our annual Christmas Stars recognition campaign.
This is a chance for our people to spread festive cheer by recognising colleagues who have been the difference this year.
Whether it’s someone who’s lived and breathed our values, a manager who’s brought our leadership behaviours to life, a colleague who’s deliver an excellent service for our residents, or a workmate who’s been supportive, Christmas Stars celebrates the incredible people across the council and their achievements.
