From Tuesday 22 September, further restrictions and new regulations and guidelines are in place.
These changes will sit alongside the ‘rule of six’ which was introduced nationwide on Monday 14 September.
Measures are being introduced in Wirral and the rest of Merseyside in an effort to reduce the rate of COVID-19 infection in the borough, including some which specifically affect hospitality businesses.
Further details on the restrictions are available Gov.uk
We must do all that we can to reduce this trend and our business community must play a critical part.
We have developed a new online resource ‘Is your business COVID-19 secure?’ which you can download below. As well as including the latest government guidance, it includes social media graphics, profile overlays, printable posters as well as action cards on how to manage cases or outbreaks.
Wirral Council is committed to working with businesses to ensure they are COVID-19 secure. This will help to protect their staff, their customers and our community.
You can declare your business COVID-19 secure by completing an online application. We will send you a sticker and posters that you can display at your business. This will reassure your customers and staff that you are doing all that you can to operate your business safely.
