Terms and conditions for plaques on West Kirby flood wall

The council reserves the right to refuse any inappropriate wording.

Please allow 10 weeks between the design being agreed and the installation of the plaque.

If the plaque becomes damaged or illegible, the council reserves the right to remove it.

Flowers and other tributes may not be attached to the seating on the promenade at West Kirby. The council reserves the right to remove and dispose of such items.

The plaque remains the property of the council, and the Lessee may not remove it without permission.

The council reserves the right to reposition the plaque if necessary and will notify the Lessee as soon as possible thereafter.

The Lessee may not replace the plaque with any other.

Any other plaques affixed to the promenade seating that are not purchased through the council’s system will be removed.

The lease for the plaque can be renewed at the end of the lease period.

The council will make best efforts to contact the Lessee at the end of the lease period.

Plaques will be removed if leases are not renewed and retained by the council for three months for collection by the Lessee. The council reserves the right to dispose of the plaque after the 3-month period.

The Lessee must notify the council of any change in their contact arrangements.

All payments are non-refundable.
