West Kirby residents have been asked for their views on the new flood wall that will shortly be built along South Parade.

The public consultation for the options for West Kirby Flood Alleviation started on Monday 11 March, until Sunday 31 March 2019.

The consultant appointed to work with Wirral Council to design the 1.1km floodwall, AECOM, put options on display and hosted a series of drop-in sessions in March in West Kirby to give people the chance to comment on a number of design options.

The consultation period closed on Sunday 31 March 2019.

What happens next?

Following this consultation exercise, detailed design and submission of the planning application will be completed and if all goes according to schedule, construction work will begin in the summer and last up to six months.
