Renewal of Postal Vote Signature and Application
If you applied for a postal vote before 30 January 2024, the law says you had to reapply by 31 January 2026. If you did not reapply, your postal vote has been cancelled, as required in law.
You can still:
- vote in person at your polling station at the next election
- reapply for a postal vote
If you want to use a paper form, you can download one on the GOV.UK website. You can also ask us to post one to you:
- email electoral@wirral.gov.uk
- or call 0151 691 8046.
A new postal vote will last for a maximum of three years. After this, you will need to make a new application.

How to cancel a postal or proxy vote
If you no longer want a postal or proxy vote, please email electoral@wirral.gov.uk. Please give your name, address and your request to remove your application.
