Early years capacity due to COVID-19

Wirral Council has a statutory duty to ensure there is enough childcare for families in the area. We understand that COVID-19 may have affected your ability to work to your usual capacity. We need to capture information to help us understand the current position in Wirral.

This will allow us to direct parents to settings with capacity when they enquire about places. It will also help us to shape plans in response to COVID-19.

Please complete the short form below to tell us about your current position. If you have any significant changes, or reach full capacity, please update us by submitting another form.

Sufficiency assessment

As part of meeting our sufficiency duty as a council, we need to make a detailed assessment of the childcare available in Wirral.

To do this, we require all childcare providers to supply information about their services such as costs, opening hours and vacancies.

The information helps us to get an overview of current provision and identify gaps. It also helps us to provide families with the information they need to make an informed choice.

You can supply your information using our sufficiency self assessment form.
