Pay Council Tax

All methods of payment except Direct Debit may take up to five days to reach your account.

Direct Debit

The best way to pay Council Tax is by Direct Debit. You can pay over ten or 12 monthly instalments and choose the date you would like to pay.

Payments are covered by the Direct Debit guarantee.

Set up a Direct Debit

You can also print off and complete a mandate to instruct your bank.

Once we have received your instruction, we will speak to your bank and send you a revised bill. The first monthly instalment will always be at least 10 working days after we send you the bill.

If you are a current Direct Debit payer, you can change your bank details or payment date online. You only need to set up a direct debit once, new applications for direct debit every year are not required.
