Hairdressers and barbers must be registered with the council. All hairdressing premises must also be registered with us.
For mobile hairdressers a personal registration only is required.
Premises must be re-registered if the business relocates or changes hands.

Processing and timescales
An officer will visit you and the premises (if applicable) to ensure the premises and equipment is compliant with the adopted byelaws. We aim to deal with applications within 10 working days of receipt of your application form.
Once granted premises certificates must then be displayed on the premises.
