These memorial plaques are available within the Rose Garden and the remembrance garden. The memorial plaques are available in two types of stone base; granite or yorkstone. They can be inscribed with a message of your choice.

Plaques can be leased for different periods. The lease can be extended at any time. It can also be renewed at the end of the lease period.

When the lease period is coming to an end, we will contact you to ask if you want to renew it. If you do not wish to renew the memorial, we will remove the plaque from display. You will be able to collect it if you wish.

Displays will be removed at the end of the lease term if we are unable to contact you. Please tell us if your contact details change.

Memorial bench

A memorial bench at Landican Cemetery

A memorial bench is an ideal option to sit and reflect on memories of a loved one. These can be sited throughout the cemeteries or our crematorium grounds. The location will depend on the space available.

The following types of bench types are available:

  • composite bench, made from recycled materials
  • granite bench
  • wooden bench

All benches include a personalised engraved inscription. This can be on a plaque or, on composite bench, inlaid into a back panel of the bench. Benches are fixed to paving flags with bolts.

The exact location of each bench must be approved by the council.

Memorial benches can take between 8 to 12 weeks to be completed.
