The Coroner is based in Liverpool and his role is to investigate sudden deaths reported by the police and to answer enquiries from members of the public about inquests.
Hearings usually take place at Gerard Majella Courthouse in Liverpool but can take place at Birkenhead Town Hall if a request is made.
