Proof of life and residence for pension companies

Some pension companies require pension recipients to provide proof that they are still alive and reside at the address the company has for them.

This service, which was previously provided by the Legal Services Team at Wirral Council will now be delivered by Wirral Register Office. If you wish to use this service an initial email should be sent to rbdm@wirral.gov.uk. The email should include:

  • your name
  • address
  • phone number

A member of staff will contact you and make an appointment.

At your appointment, you should bring:

  • the pension form
  • photo id, such as a valid passport or photo driving licence.
  • proof of address, such as current council tax bill, recent utility bill (dated within 3 months of the appointment) or bank statement (dated within 1 month of the appointment)

There is a £15 charge for this service per pension form. This can be paid by card at your appointment.
