In 2015, Wirral Council made a promise to deliver on 20 key service pledges that our residents told us were a priority.
These included action on anti-social behaviour, litter, and developing clean, safe neighbourhoods where people want to live.
Wirral Plan annual report 2017 - 2018
Our annual review, details our progress on the 20 pledges.
In this video Councillor Phil Davies, Leader of Wirral Council, explains about the annual report.
So far our progress includes:
- more than £150 million attracted in new businesses and investment
- nearly a thousand new jobs created
- major improvements to local neighbourhoods and communities
Reporting our progress is an important part of being an open, transparent and accountable council. The results in this, our annual ‘health check’ help demonstrate where your council tax goes and how we are determining priorities. We hope you will feel that our priorities are the same as yours – developing clean, safe and attractive neighbourhoods, where people can lead happy, healthy, aspirational lives.
Thank you for your continued support as we make further progress towards achieving our 20 Pledges.
