Gayton conservation area

Gayton is located on the west side of Wirral immediately south of the town of Heswall, with some spectacular views of the Dee estuary and North Wales.

The original settlement is of mediaeval origin and can be traced back to the Domesday Book. The oldest buildings that remain go back to the 17th century. The area retains a distinct rural character.
