15 July 2008Important information about The Tall Ships Parade - Mon 21 July
The Tall Ships Parade of Sail event takes place on Monday 21 July as the spectacular ships sail out of the Liverpool docks and up the Mersey heading for Norway. The ships sail from 2pm and many thousands of people will line the Wirral shores to witness the event. We are expecting extremely high levels of traffic and people wanting to park in the Birkenhead / Wallasey / New Brighton area. WHERE TO WATCH The best places to watch from the Wirral side will be along the promenade: Woodside, Birkenhead, Seacombe Ferry, Egremont, Wallasey, New Brighton. Although the ships sail at 2pm, they will be forming in the river from much earlier in the day. Arrive as early as possible to get the best views and avoid the rush!
