Street Nameplates

The Council is responsible for the naming of streets within the local area and for ensuring that street name plates are provided and fitted in suitable positions.

If there are two name plates and one is still in place this meets national guidelines.

We are also responsible for the repair and maintenance of street name plates. This becomes necessary either due to accidental damage, vandalism or normal wear and tear.
