Untidy property and land
The Council can issue an 'amenity' notice in certain circumstances where it is considered that the condition of a building or land is detrimental to the amenity of an area or neigbourhood.
The notice sets out steps that need to be taken to bring the property or land back into an acceptable standard and the time within which they must be carried out.
This notice is used to maintain and improve the quality of the environment, to assist in tackling dereliction and retaining land in a productive use as well as contribute to the regeneration of an area and respond positively to public concerns.

If the property is an empty residential dwelling, Wirrals Empty Property Team is dedicated to returning empty properties back into use and you should report the matter to them direct to Wirral's Empty Property Team on 0151 691 8005, or via email.
