BikeSafe
BikeSafe courses are for everyone, whether you have been riding for six months, six years, or, twenty-six years, you can always improve your levels of skill to make your riding not only safer but also more enjoyable.
Merseyside BikeSafe is run in partnership with Merseyside Police, Wirral Council and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, with support from Wirral Advanced Motorcyclists (a section of the IAM) and Hyperbaric Medicine. It is a safety skills course that aims to enhance motorcyclist’s skills and encourage riders to complete advanced riding courses.
By passing on their knowledge, skills and experience, police motorcyclists can help you become a safer more competent rider.
Attending a BikeSafe course is a great way to equip you with skills to help keep you safer. Even those who thought they had nothing to learn have learnt a lot.
BikeSafe workshops run over 2 days (Saturday and Sunday) and one per month is run from April until October. Courses combine theory sessions including first aid, skills riding and observed rides. The course costs £50 and on site refreshments and lunch are included on both days.
Visit the bikesafe website for further information or book online.
