Help with everyday living
Assistive Technology, which is also known as telecare, is a service that uses simple technology to help people live safely and independently in their own home.
Short breaks in residential or nursing homes allow you and your carer to take a break while, hopefully, helping you to live independently in your own home for longer.
Promoting Older People’s Independence Network
POPIN consists of advisors who work across Wirral and visit people of 65 and over in their own homes.
If you can't find what you're looking for, or need further information, please contact the Central Advice and Duty Team on 0151 606 2006.
Occupational therapy is the service which assesses disabled people's needs for equipment or adaptations to their homes to help them manage everyday activities. This could involve major building work or just the provision of equipment.
Meals on Wheels
We provide a meals service to any address in Wirral for people who cannot prepare a hot, main meal for themselves and have no other way of receiving one. We mainly provide meals for older people, people with physical disabilities and people who are ill or recovering from illness.
Rehabilitation Services
Rehabilitation services are a way of helping you recover the ability to look after yourself and to get you back home if you have been in hospital.
People using this service are given help to regain their strength, confidence and day-to-day living skills.
