Safeguarding adults training

Wirral's Department of Adult Social Services provides safeguarding adults training to both it’s own staff and staff from other partner organisations who work with vulnerable adults.

Safeguarding adults – basic awareness
This course covers the different types of abuse that can affect vulnerable adults and the indicators that should make people who work with vulnerable adults concerned as to whether abuse is happening.  The course will also inform people who work with vulnerable adults how to respond if they become aware of abuse. Safeguarding adults – process
This course gives participants the knowledge and understanding of their role regarding safeguarding vulnerable adults.  It explains the responsibilities of residential and daycentre managers and also those of the social worker or care manager.
