Working with Wirral residents, the Sports Development Unit deliver a number of projects in order to engage communities in a common interest. These include:

Youth Sports Nights – These evening sessions offer a variety of sports activities, aimed at engaging young people in diversionary, sport and physical activity.

Positive Futures – Working with partners and aimed at a cross section of young people between 14 and 19, this project offers sport and leisure activities as diversionary activities in communities where anti-social behavior and substance misuse is becoming a problem.

PAYP (Positive Activities for Young People) – This National programme for young people aged 8-19, offers arts, sports, cultural and educational activities for young people.

Sportsmobile - In partnership with the Anti-Social Behaviour Team, the Sportsmobile is deployed in ‘hot-spot’ locations of anti-social behaviour and comes with two qualified sports instructors to deliver a range of diversionary, sporting activities.
