Working with both the community and voluntary sector, our dedicated Coach & Volunteer Development Officer co-ordinates and delivers a variety of courses for those working towards becoming a Coach or Volunteer and those already in the role.
We also work to ensure that any coach/ volunteer who undertakes work on behalf of Wirral Sports Development will have a current CRB in place.
For Coaches…
The Unit aims to support and advise both existing coaches and those that want to get involved in coaching
We are committed to helping coaches with personal development and have access to a variety of courses for anyone involved in sport coaching.
For Volunteers…
Volunteers are essential to the safe and professional operation of sport activities. Without them many clubs and events would not develop or in some cases cease to exist.
We are eager to recruit new volunteers and will work with them to encourage a greater range of skills to enable further progress within their chosen sport/ activity.
